Beautiful Mount Damavand from the northeast face

Mount Damavand, is highest peak in Iran. This peak is located in the Alborz Mountains, in Mazandaran province of Iran. Its height is 5670 meters.

This is a picture I took years ago during a trip to the summit of Mount Damavand, after descending from it. Although my ascent was not successful, it left me with fond memories. I didn't have a tripod with me on this trip. Consequently, there is some slight camera shake in some of the handheld shots.

For this photo, I used my Hasselblad 500 C/M camera and Carl Zeiss Planar 80/f2.8 CF lens. The lens was set at a hyperfocal distance, and the image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/4 seconds on Konica Centuria 100 roll film. I used of a kenko polarizer filter.
