Mazandaran Province is one of the most densely populated provinces in Iran and has diverse natural resources, notably large reservoirs of oil and natural gas. The diverse nature of the province features plains, prairies, forests and rainforest stretching from the sandy beaches of the Caspian Sea to the rugged and snowcapped Alborz sierra, including Mount Damavand, one of the highest peaks and volcanos in Asia.

This picture was taken around 2005. That year I built the first 6x12 panoramic camera with a Schneider Symmar-S 100/5.6 fixed lens. This camera was my first experience to make a 6x12 panoramic camera. That camera was very light and portable. I easily took it on a climb to the mountains of Alam-Kuh. That camera did not have a helical focus mount. But its lens was fixed at the hyperfocal distance. Its design was very simple and could not be compared with the new Panoral 612 camera.

For this image, I used the handmade 6x12 camera. I put kenko polarizer filter on my camera. The lens was set at a hyperfocal distance, and the image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/15 seconds on Konica Centuria 100 120 color negative.
