Above the clouds in Mazandaran
Picture ID: 10570 - Order
Mazandaran Province is one of the most densely populated provinces in Iran and has diverse natural resources, notably large reservoirs of oil and natural gas. The diverse nature of the province features plains, prairies, forests and rainforest stretching from the sandy beaches of the Caspian Sea to the rugged and snowcapped Alborz sierra, including Mount Damavand, one of the highest peaks and volcanos in Asia.
This picture was taken on top of the mountains of Mazandaran province. I drove my car in a completely spiral path for about 1 hour to get to this place. The clouds moved quickly due to the wind. I tried to get close to the foreground stones and use a ultra wide angle lens.
I used the Panoral 45 camera and Schneider Super Angulon 47/5.6 XL lens. The image recorded, with aperture 22 and shutter speed 1/2 seconds on Ilford FP4 9x12cm sheet film. I used Hoya red filter and CIII center filter simultaneous.
